Haystack Burgers and Barley | Our Story

Making The World A Better Place One Burger At A Time.

Kevin and Jenny Galvan opened Haystack in Richardson in April of 2013. They wanted to create a restaurant in their neighborhood that not only served amazing fresh food, but was a special part of the community. Their favorite part of Haystack is the amazing guests and friends they get to serve.
Family Owned & Operated!

Family Owned & Operated!

The Galvan’s have a long history in the restaurant business and also the restaurant landscape in the Dallas area. Kevin is the fourth generation of restaurant owners in his family. Kevin and Jenny owned and operated Ricardos’s Tex Mex in Allen for five years and some of the family recipes can be found at Haystack. Hope you enjoy Haystack as much as we enjoy having you as our guest.
A Burger Done Right

A Burger Done Right

Every burger gets a toasted bun, a properly seasoned patty, and golden crispy onion strings stacked on top. D Magazine singled out the queso, calling it some of the best Tex-Mex they'd had.
The Detail That Defines Us

The Detail That Defines Us

The crispy golden tangle that gives Haystack its name is the kind of simple thing done so well it sticks with you. Guests order them reflexively — piled on the burger or as a starter.
The People Make It

The People Make It

Guests don't just remember the food — they mention names. Team members like Tim have become part of what people come back for, turning a Tuesday lunch into something that actually feels good.
